This print was inspired by 19th Century Prints of imaginary encounters of Giant squid and Octopuses attacking boats and sailors.
The technique used for this print is called drypoint, which uses a metal plate with drawings scratched into it that is inked up and passed through a press. The technique gives a lovely inky quality, and every single print created from the plate is unique. The drawn lines stay the same each time but the distribution of the ink means every print is different.
The printed area measures 27 x 32 cm. It is printed on a quality heavy acid free paper. The print will be sent untrimmed and unframed.
